This past weekend, Anh and Chi’s very own co-owner and creative director, Amelie Nguyen, took the spotlight on the Celebrity Cooking Stage at the Vancouver Wellness Show. Known for her passion for Vietnamese cuisine and creative approach to home cooking, Amelie wowed the audience with a live demonstration featuring variations of Anh and Chi’s beloved tofu and green beans dish.
This simple yet flavourful recipe embodies the essence of Anh and Chi—fresh ingredients, punchy flavours, and a touch of culinary artistry. Whether you're looking for a quick meal after a busy day or a dish to impress guests, this tofu and green beans stir-fry is a versatile and satisfying option.
Tofu and Green Beans Stir-Fry Recipe
Serves: 1 to 2 people
Prep time: 12 to 15 minutes
Ingredients

150 g oomé Smoked Tofu

380 g French green beans
-
½ tbsp minced garlic
-
1 tbsp avocado oil
-
1½ tbsp Me’s Sweet Soy sauce

Salt and pepper, to taste
Method

In a small pot, bring water to a boil. Wash and trim the ends of the green beans. Blanch green beans in boiling water for 1 to 2 minutes, then drain and set aside. Cut tofu into 1-by-1-inch pieces, then set aside.

In a wok or pan, bring avocado oil to medium-high heat. Add garlic and stir until just slightly golden.

Add green beans, tofu, and soy sauce to the same pan. Stir-fry for 2 to 3 minutes. Add salt and pepper to taste. Enjoy with jasmine rice.
